Northumberland Docks

2 post card views of the old Northumberland Docks.
The first was posted in September 1909.

The second is dated 16.07.1910. The ship on the right is Ropner's (1889) Thornaby. The ship on the left is Jenny and the only one i can find that fits the date, and size, is the 1878 Austin & Hunter build.

Agree interesting old pictures, the first picture if I am looking at it right shows in the top right hand corner (two o clock position) what is now the Nissan terminal and shows how busy that area was even in those days.

I think much of the dock is now filled in but it must have been deep.
