BARQUE “HESSE DARMSTADT” TO BE SOLD BY PUBLIC AUCTION
T. GLOVER & SON are instructed to offer the above Ship, at their Offices, king Street, South Shields, on Thursday, February 2nd, 1882. The Sale to commence at Three o'Clock prompt. Built in 1863, and classed at Lloyds, 9 years A1. Register tonnage, 331; length, 116 feet; breadth, 27 feet; depth, 16feet 5 inches. Carries 560 tons weight on a draft of 16 feet 2 inches. Put out at Rouen 162 2/3 standards of deals; shifts without ballast, and sheathed with yellow metal. In every respect well found in every description of Gear, including Two Suits of Sails. Now lying at hebburn Buoys, and will be laid upon Huntley's Shore, at Hebburn, on the day previous, and on the day of Sale. An inventory may be seen at the Auction Office, or on Board the Ship.
