Last ship built at South Shields, delivered a few days before the industry was nationalised in July 1977.

The ship number is Goole Shipbuilders number.

Trials photograph.
She was supposed to represent the company at the 1977 Spithead Review but delays in her completing meant that FRED EVERARD which was in dry dock at TDE
took her place.
