Shipyard painters exhibition

Just to let you know that the Old low lights heritage centre and Tynemouth fine arts are hosting an exhibition of paintings produced by people who worked in the shipbuilding industry in the North East. The exhibition starts on the 22nd July and runs until 18th September and will contain many depictions of ships and shipbuilding activities as well as local scenes.
Running in conjunction with this exhibition is a photographic display. The photographs have been taken by a group of amateur photographers known affectionately as the Swan Snappers and document the history of Swan Hunter shipbuilders.
