My first thought when looking at this Tug is the film "The Key" with William Holden and Gina Lolab? ;) about Wartime Rescue Tugs, they were certainly very active Post War towing RN War Canoes to BISCO's nominated Breakers along with towing "Ton" Class Minesweepers from one Reserve Holding to another in the Far East along with the other RN Stations Reserve Holdings in between and then towing them back again, some of the "Tons" had more seatime whilst being towed than they did in active service!!
In regards to the "arrangement" in the Film, there was no such arrangent at the TCC, although one Chief came pretty close with a Town Wife and then a Country Wife. "T" 8-) was a bit of a character and lived life to the full and then some.
