Completed in 1953 by Lithgows of Port Glasgow for the Glynafon Shipping Co. Ltd. (Idwal Williams & Co. Ltd., Cardiff)
1966 Sold to the Somerset Steam Ship Corp., Monrovia, renamed IONIC STAR
1967 Registered owners became Kainis Cia Maritima SA, Monrovia, renamed KAINIS
1970 Sold to Kurk Cia Naviera SA, Piraeus, renamed KURK B
1975 Sold to Nausika Cia Naviera SA, Piraeus, renamed NAUSIKA
1977 Registered owners became Lita Cia Naviera SA, Piraeus, name unchanged
1979 Demolished at Split by Brodospas

One of my earliest efforts at ship photography dating from 16th April 1961, this would be on Kodachrome film which had a rather slow speed emulsion (25ASA). Kodak eventually replaced this with a faster film (64ASA) which gave much improved results, allowing faster shutter speeds and/or smaller apertures to be used

Apologies if this sounds a bit Double Dutch, or even Welsh! :)

Kodak's material has stood the test of time very well Patrick.
Using Photoshop I usually apply a minimal amount tweaking while scanning slides, just to help the end result along

Odd that you should mention that, just entering many Welsh owned schooners into our database, several owners based in Llandisiliogogo cause me a problem!

Boiler Inspections were always a bit of a nail chewing time for the Ships Engineer, hopefully you had everything covered especially on the older Boilers which were Wrought Iron and held together with Rivets, the only protection against corrosion from leakage in the Condenser (checked by doing a Salinometer Test) being Anodes bolted inside of the Boiler. I would put a bet on that the Auxiliaries on the Glynafon were made by Weirs. Great Pumps as long as the Shuttle Valve behaved itself.
