Parkol are certainly doing well and long may they continue to do so, they seem to turn out some smart looking Vessels despite these troubling times affecting the workforce, it's also good to see the old AVECO Yard in Cargo Fleet ( the old Graving Dock now filled in) still flourishing after Dennis retired. I put the success down to the 'hands on' backgrounds of those who like Dennis and the Parkol Management in knowing just what the customer wants and how to build it. I must add that the old AVECO Yard are doing Hulls only.

Lovely place Aberdeen or it was until Oil, my Wife was a native of Torry, I was up early for the Fish Market watching the 'Hard Nose' Trawlers jockeying for a Berth and then back round to Torry to watch the Trawlers replenish along with a bit of maintenance, I sailed on a Long Liner called the "Loch Kildonan" just the one trip, never again :o . A quick walk to the Fort (I wonder what is under the mound) watching Port Movements and looking at low tide for any sign of the detritus of the Wartime Ball Bearing Runner which came to grief on the rocks.
Night time it was down to the Fun Fair to watch the "Wall of Death" riders perform.
Where did Aberdonians go for their Holidays?---------------------Scarborough, now with Oil wages, --------------Pre Covid, the Algarve playing Golf :D
Aberdeen was always an interesting Port for Ship spotting especially when the Royal Yacht steamed in.
