After a couple of days visiting Lincoln, Beverley and thereabouts I thought that I would look into the Humber on our journey home today. Apart from a brief foray into the KGV Dock in 1991 I’ve not visited Hull docks since 1971 – the area has changed somewhat! Limited time (and very limited access) restricted my photography to the Danish Sea Challenger, presumably loading wind farm components.

You could have popped in for a cuppa, Dennis!
This is the only access for photography other than the overhead walkway at Albert Dock .... or down at Paull with Patrick!

Amongst the detritus of producing energy the old way at the Able Yard at Graythorp the Yard has sprouted a number of these columns for the new way of producing energy, the Yard certainly makes short work of the machinery used for energy production the old way.
You can't beat a set of 'Spuds' to keep you steady, now available in the telescopic version for steel Motor Yachts to keep you alongside without the hassle of mooring ropes! Hopefully there is a large notice on the main control panel reminding the owners to lift them before moving off :o although they don't have the ability to lift the Motor Yacht Hull clear of the water which would have been handy.
