Laid up in Rosyth with fleet mates Braemar and Balmoral, 02/10/2020. Note her funnel already painted out. The previous Saturday Boudicca was across the front of these 3, she sailed during the week for Turkey.

Boudicca and Black Watch both now scrapped but Fred Olsen has bought two of the Holland America line cruise ships to replace them,

They were showing their age a few years ago just look at the hull stern plates and painting the hull gray the following year did not help

Not scrapped yet Mike, my photo was 2 days ago. :) I also got a photo the previous weekend with Boudicca berthed there, she left last week. There was talk of them both going as hotel/accommodation ships rather than being scrapped, I don't know if either option has been officially confirmed.

Its getting a bit crowded in Rosyth.

ROTTERDAM and AMSTERDAM on one berth and BALMORAL, BRAEMAR and BLACK WATCH on another.

BOUDICCA in the Western Med, ETA Tuzla 10th October.

So watch this space.

Both sold for service as accommodation ships in Turkey
Not sure if they are for workers, tourists or asylum seekers.
But in these crazy times nothing surprises me any more.
