Photo shows what is believed to be a ''Paddle Trawler''Hartlepool registered ,never knew there were such things photo shows a background of Scarborough....Date unknown,copyright unknown....

Looks to be the 1867-built TRIUMPH, ex WONDER, detailed by Dave at: http://www.tynetugs.co.uk/wonder1867.html
Your view in the period owned and registered Hartlepool.

Quite a number of the early paddle tugs went on trawling duties maybe part-time, photos of some exist at Whitby also.

Both of Dave's pictures show very clearly the alterations made so they could go trawling.
Otter Boards and quite a substantial Derrick, even if it was hand operated..........
