Shown here after being sold and re,registered to Hartlepool.....HL 42....

As a Redcar lad, I didn't know the Picknetts had anything bigger than the local beach-launched boats.

George,they had the Pride of Redcar creeling from Hartlepool skippered by 'Ces' Picknett,the Supreme Endeavour was skippered first by Philip then Ted after they had the EndeavourII built,she was skippered by Philip and very successful.....

A well-known family indeed. Vaguely remember old Laurie who was a keen lifeboat historian (ZETLAND etc) and one of them (Tommy?) was cox of Redcar lifeboat followed in 1960's by Ronnie Dixon who I knew better.
I see there is a Picknett, Mike still at the helm of the Redcar boat and recently earning an award.
