CITY OF CANTERBURY with a pub in the background. She was built by Swans in 1923 and BU at Blyth 31/05/1953

The pub in the background was probably the Ridley Arms, locally known as The Willick' . The berth she is on is further up river from the main breaking quay and became the berth for Granfin Ltd to load grain cargoes. It was all knocked down and redeveloped to become Battleship Wharf as we know it today
