William Hamilton and Co Ltd. Port Glasgow. 7880 Gross. Blt 1925.
She was damaged during the War and rebuilt without a Main topmast which meant her 'Mast head Light' was actually fixed to the funnel. She was a Coal burner throughout her life and arrived at Blyth in March 1961.

Interesting to look back at the MAHOUT entering the Tees and to note the funnel light mentioned by Paul.
However, the funnel cap noted by Dave does not appear to be there at that time in a photo taken at most a year-18 months before she was scrapped? So, is that an awning sometimes placed over the funnel of a "dead" ship?
