Requisitioned 8/1914, bought by Admiralty 1915 and renamed SUCCOUR
Returned to Alexander in 1919 as SUN III again
1956 LADY SARAH, J. H. Pigott, Grimsby/Immingham
Broken up at Blyth 06/1967

Another very long lived tug.

Thanks for the images George, however, in the upper image as with so many it is not just the main subject which can be of interest, so, could any of our members advise what the larger twin funneled ship is beyond as to my eyes it looks somewhat unusual. I dare not even hazard a guess.

It looks to be:
KOSMOS IV (5194791), Norway, 14716gt, completed Finkenwarder 9-1937
1937 WALTER RAU - 1946 KOSMOS IV - 1971 KYOKUSEI MARU - 1979 SONG HAK SAN
deleted 1998 - existence in doubt

Thank you to each who have contributed further to my earlier question re identification of the Kosmos IV in the image with Lady Sarah.

Kosmos IV was a frequent visitor to many different British ports but there we must leave her in this thread as another observation but welcome distraction.
