Modern technology is great - but it can lead you astray!
I arrived at South Gare but did not bother turning my radio on as my new friend, Marinetraffic app on my mobile phone, told me the pilot cutter was already on her way out to this vessel, and I would then be able to track her inwards. All very well if I had spotted the correct incomer, but she approached on the blind side from where I was parked and next thing I knew AIS was showing her alredy inside the breakwaters. Result - the above hurried shot as she rushed past!!
