NORMAN was built for United Towing in 1929 as YN 1047
She lasted till she was broken up at Hull in 1972

I wonder if this was the last ever photo of the NORMAN?
According to George's data at: viewtopic.php?f=75&t=13519 she had been sold the previous month to be broken up locally!

All boarded up and awaiting the scrappers. The old NORMAN at Hull on 2 October 1972.

50 YEARS AGO TODAY!

NORMAN, United Towing, 222gt, completed Cochrane & Sons, Selby, 6-1929.
1929 NORMAN - 1939 DIVERSION - 1945 NORMAN - 1967 Converted from steam to diesel -
9-1972 broken up at Hull
