A little piece of Goole history .... the Leeds office of the Aire & Calder confirms to the local manager the wharfage rate on balloons (not saying whether or not inflated!).
But I like the handwritten addition, "Aeroplanes 1/8 each as motor carriages". That must have been a novel cargo back in 1909.
