Just realised that I posted August at Hull in August 1968 on the Hull board.
We used to have a day at Hull when on our week's hols at Brid.
We called at Beverley and Goole on our way home on the Saturday.
And there she was. And with the same timber cargo. Odd or what?

Fine set indeed Michael ... but you are still getting a vertical elongation on your scans!

Thanks for the comments
The problem seems to be if I have to crop the picture after I have scanned in the slide.

Cropping in itself shouldn't cause any distortion? ... as I mentioned, is your scanner not maintaining the same ratio between width and height when it scans?

If you are resizing the scans look for an option that maintains aspect ratio. :)

Thank for all the tips.
I think my slide scanner scans ok.
It is the operator!!
Some slides I have cropped without constraints to get rid of unwanted water or sky or to zoom in as I had a fixed lens camera and this has caused the distortion that remained when I resized the image prior to submission using the constraints.
Hopefully I have learned
