Reported in the new issue of 'Marine News' that the former United Towing chartered/owned STATESMAN of 1966 (ex ALICE L. MORAN) has gone for breaking at Alang, arrived 20/04/2012 under her last name AMSTERDAM. A good life of 46 years for this impressive ocean tug.

Before taking the name of AMSTERDAM for Wijsmuller Salvage in 1987. She was sold on after a couple of years but retained the name, whilst owned by a number of Middle East operators, until her final demise.
