A long-stayer in Albert Dock, TECOIL POLARIS started life as ST-1345 from the Volgograd yard in 1990, IMO.8883290. Later ALEKSANDR DEMIDOV then ROSKEM I to 2017, presumably converted at that time, listed as an oil products tanker.

One to watch in regards to the present legislation in regards to all Russian? vessels and changes to "Straw Management" along with Flag Changing, I would be surprised if she moves any time soon. Interesting that she has been "Parked" at a Class 'A' Port.

Interesting Patrick, I wonder who is looking after her bearing in mind the No Victualling/ No Assistance part of the legislation.
Certainly the Russians are playing silly beggars when it comes to their Superyacht ownership and movements by switching their A.I.S. off (Going Dark) whilst underway.

I'd suspect she was abandoned by her owners and has been sold by the Admiralty Marshall to get ABP their money, with nothing going back to Russia.

Sounds like a "Carry on " saga, the last wording is interesting as a fair number of Russian Superyachts after name and Flag changes and "Going Dark" for most of their passage across the Atlantic and into the Med are ending up in Turkey ;)
Looks like a "Straw Management" set up unless she is going for Scrapping?
