And leaving the lock
Of interest is the blurred blue sign announcing the enlargement of KGD with 1 mile of deep water quay
Mowlems being the contactors.
Am I right in thinking that this enlargement was named Queen Elizabeth Dock?

Yes Michael, when I arrived at Hull in mid-1968 the quay walls of QE Dock were in place and the centre of the dock was being dredged, it was opened by the Queen in mid-1969.
