Watched a repeat of the very first episode of 'Vera' last night and these two appeared in the background, she was sitting on a bench with a small park behind her.
Good shots from North Shields in same episode.
I can recognise many but not all of the locations in 'Vera'!

They used the greasey spoon cafe up the road from us for a more recent series George. Closed it for the day and made more from that that meals.
Also had a fan turn up for a dinner - he was on holiday and was looking for VERA locations !

I can see it on Google Earth now, North Blyth terrace streets, ships at one end and railway trucks passing on the reverse shots.
In other episodes there was a small harbour bending to the right that I didn't recognise but I can see now it must be Seaton Sluice, never been there myself!
They have been as far south as the road down to the South Gare on the Tees.
Hey Graham maybe you can do 'Vera Tours' and make an honest bob or two :)

Honest Bob - sounds like a dodgy copper in a VERA episode!
Could do a VERA inspired flavoured sausge.
Somewhere between a raincoat and a Landrover Defender

And in an episode in the last series they used the living room of my parent's friends who live in Seaton Sluice.
And Vera herself is on the trailer for this years Sunday for Sammy DVD
