Coral River

I think the name is CORAL RIVER, but not sure why she would be at Blyth. Looks as though she is leaving under the control of Tyne tugs and certainly hasn't been into dry dock for a paint job. If the name is right then she should be the ex HOPEMOUNT built by Swans at Wallsend in 1929.

Clearly at Blyth but the conversion to an ore carrier was certainly done at Hong Kong.
'Marine News' 09/1955 reported that KELLETIA had been sold to HK breakers but 'has now been refitted at that port for further service as an ore carrier and has been sold as CORAL RIVER'.

She had two "New" (Made 1956) Auxiliary Boilers fitted in 1961.

I wonder if that was what she was in for??
