GMS Endurance

Arriving at Blyth this lunchtime, and not one of the two that were in the South Harbour last year.
Arrived from Harwich at a sedately 6 knots, turned around and reversed all the way up river to the No.35 jetty.
That's the back of Bolckowes - sorry Battleship Wharf - where the Harbour intend to decomission/scrap/break up/demolish redundant/old/out of date/knackered offshore installations/rigs/barges/general tatt!
Pick your own buss word, it defines how old you are

Selection of shots taken Friday 21st as she - slowly- made her way out of the port for the DolWin gamma HVDC platform.
The platform is located approximately 80 km offshore in the south-western part of the North Sea in water depth of only 27.5 m.

Police are following up a report of a flying ship near the former Blyth power station site this weekend.
A Mr C.ambois reported seeing a ship in the air on his way home from the club on Friday night
His wife added that while he had had his normal sup at the clurb he was not under the influence of any hallucinogenic substances but had a bowl of mushroom soup before he went out.
