Her mate the NORDMARK was in Blyth in 1983 so I suspect it was about that time. I also have a picture of the NORDHEIM at Sunderland in 1981.

Much later than 1983 - she is being discharged by the newer 'sucker' which replaced the clanking grab and gantry.
This came after much complaining of the locals on the other side of the river at the noise and dust pollution which led one resident to keep samples of dust from his window sill and keep them, with the dates that they appeared.
Alcan berth and Blyth Power station were on the north side of the river, latterly in Wansbeck District Council territory which led to the claim that Wansbeck got the rates money from the facilities while the south side of the river, Blyth Blyth Vallley, got the pollution
