LADY SANDRA.
Completed by Cook's at Wivenhoe as Yard Number 1411 in November 1970, for Thomas Watson (Shipping) Ltd. Rochester.
199 Gross. 139 Net. 388 Dwt.
8 Cly Rolls Royce Engine of 345 bhp giving a speed of 9 kts.
Classed for UK Coasting and between the River Elbe and Brest.
Sold 1980 and renamed LABRICA.
Re-sold 1985 and renamed JUNIOR.
Sank in tow on the 15th September 1987. Raised and broken-up by Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht.

She was one of the XL400 class designed by Clelands. Watsons had a one off contract built by them in the early 1960s and when the yard were looking for a template for the design they chose her earlier sister ship. Owners that bought into the design were Tower Shipping, Everards and Eggar Forrest.
I was told the prototype vessel paid for herself very quickly but when Watsons came back to the yard in 1970 Clelands had a full order book so the order was subcontracted out to Cooks.
