Tony might recognise his former colleagues in this undated slide taken by Albert Weller:

Not sure who is on the ladder.

The Pilot on the cutter's deck is Peter Munro.

Very sadly Peter passed away in his mid 30's from
a brain tumour in the early 1970's.

I thought 'it had the look' of the late Terry Carrigan.......about the right era....he passed on before his brother.

Sorry to read the passing of Ian Johnston a Tees pilot, a genial Scotsman whom I used to meet with on a regular basis. Always had a God craic about messing about on the river and seagoing days.
He was also a very lucky man when along with another Pilot fortunately managed to decant from the "Lairdsfield" pre the Gares when unfortunately the vessel rolled over Crossing the Bar with the loss of all her Crew. Smooth sailing Ian.
