Post WW 2 whalers

This view of two whalers being built in dry dock is from a 1950s Smith's Dock brochure. It is not known which vessels they were, but they were probably built in the late 1940s or very early 1950s. The last two whalers built by Smith's were the BEVER and DJERV for Thor Dahl completed in 1951.

The BI vessel (I assume) in the adjacent dock is incorrectly described as a Brocklebank steamer in the brochure.

Yes she is one of the 1945-46 'P' class for British India, mast arrangements varied and this should be either
PACHUMBA 1945 Wm. Gray
PALIKONDA 1945 Readhead
PEMBA 1945 Bartram
as these had the twin posts between 2/3 holds.
