Whenever I went out with Mick I found with my camera, whether the plain and simple Voigtlander I used from late 1966 until late 1980, or the Olympus which I used thereafter, I could stand a few yards closer to a subject than he could, presumably because my cameras covered a slightly wider angle than his. Thus, two days earlier, on 18 May 1976, my camera could reach parts of the OCTAVIA that Mick's couldn't (or maybe Mick was further restricted if in his shot there was another vessel then alongside in that leg of the dock?):
But, yes, it was still a tight fit!
