She was a "must see" ship as she was by then 36 years old.
Honest, I had my back pressed up against the Dock Office
(yellow submarine) wall; but I could not get her all in!
(it was actually quite rare for a large ship to be in that particular berth!)
She was Nicaragua flag, 4105 gross tons, and was broken up in 1970 (BU Bruges 28.3.70).
She was originally the BARON ELGIN completed for Hogarth's in October 1933
by Henderson of Meadowside, Glasgow, and had been sold and renamed in 1958.
