The “The Infant Hercules” is no more but good news has been announced, the new name I would suggest should be the “Infant Thor” as a new Electric Arc Furnace is to be built on Teesside which will consume ship loads of Scrap.
For those of us who remember there used to be shiploads of Battlefield Scrap coming in via the Tees now I suppose it will be loads of burnt out Cars.

Back to the old days when Redcar Jetty was rail-served with 2 grabbing cranes for scrap, little NORRIX or ROBRIX with scrap from Newport I.o.W. would be a regular report in the Gazette.
