1980 broken up.
My most regular sighting during my earliest years on my own River Tees.

This is an enlarged scan of my sighting of her 50 years ago today from the original shop-processed print, giving a better impression than the small image previously shown.

Until I was reminded this morning, I had forgotten that the TYNEDALE H was broken up in Hartlepool!
Miramar now shows: BU Hartlepool 11.80
However, my photos confirm she had arrived there and that work was in progress well before that date.

The first views show her at Victoria Quay, but I think the second, with work having progressed, is in Jackson Dock?

As far as I know the barge GUERNSEY was also being scrapped after being in service on the Tees fairly briefly, arriving from Grimsby in September 1977. She was understood to have carried the previous name of PETRONELA.

TYNEDALE H and GUERNSEY III on the way to the breakers at Hartlepool in April 1980,being towed by the RALPH CROSS,not a very good image,but it records the event.

Michael, a photo from Getty Images unearthed by David Asprey shows that GUERNSEY III was burned down to deck level in a fire at M'bro on 28/04/1980, yet your smaller vessel under tow with TYNEDALE H has some superstructure.

It must have been the GUERNSEY ex PETRONELA mentioned by Ron in his photo below, alongside TH at Hartlepool.
