This view of the entrance to Middlesbrough Dock 14.07.18 marks the end of any shipping in the future,the new bridge soon to be put in place,the dock looks now to be tidal.

In a few years it will be just like the inner side of Dunston Staiths, full of mud at low tide.

Maybe we'll just have to wait and see if the other section of the roadway is designed to lift, as seemed to be the original plan!

Maybe not Michael, if you look at the left side it is concrete, the new section appears to be steel, so could be raisable.

It is described in The Gazette as eventually hoistable to enable access for marine traffic,or some such term.

Looks like it will need to be craned out if ever a vessel needs to pass.
