Initially, identification was a "needle in a haystack" scenario. Miramar lists 7 whole pages of ships called MARIA (I anticipated there might have been more!), but nothing recorded as Swedish flag of 1960/70s vintage. A more general internet search did not help either. Eventually, settled on a ship in the list, flag not shown on summary page, that looked about right. Even better, she was Swedish flag in her main record, so on right track. With IMO no. from that record, why not check my own database .... yes, I had seen her ... dig out negatives ... to find one of them matches Albert's slide - it looks as though we were there together as she berthed on 28 August 1977!
