Ah, I was hoping for the old LEADSMAN heading for Regent Oil at Thornaby ..... (viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8903)
Musn't disappoint HMV - these will be ready for him when he wakes up early in the morning!
LEADSMAN, Quarterman Sg Co Ltd., 403gt,
completed Scarr, Hessle, 7-1944
1944 CHANT 11 - 1946 PINARD - 51 LEADSMAN - 68 UADDAN
BU Spain 1974
[originally IMO 5205033 deleted 1964 but reinstated 1965 with new number 6513621] I had to fool my scanner into making images from these four 9x6 negatives in my collection which I inherited many years ago from the collection of the late John (Paddy) Rutherford, a member of the Teesside Ship Society.
The location? This will give some Forumites a clue? They had a brewery site in Stockton, so I suspect Paddy's shots do actually show the LEADSMAN at the Regent Oil berth in Thornaby. I have read that this old brewery, having been closed for some time, was demolished in 1959, so these views probably date from the mid-late 1950s.
