Interesting new build, “Organic” Hydrogen powered with triple main engines along with battery standby power. Fitted with all the latest kit including a W2W facilitator for the Dogger Bank Wind Farm Project.
The list of equipment is quite comprehensive to say the least and I am sure it all worked when it was tested at Base and alongside however when it comes to working in the North Sea, well that’s a different matter with the Makers Man using the often used words “Well I don’t understand it, it all worked perfectly well at our Base what have YOU done to it”
The answer being “This is a MOVING platform sunshine your Base doesn’t move I don’t know if you noticed that” the Weirs man was not happy when their first attempt at an automated Ballast System was failing all around him. In their defence they
did however make excellent steam powered pumps although the shuttle valve could be a bit of a pain until you got it going and then it would practically run forever.
