ATLANTIC COUNTESS

Postby Tony Frost » Tue Apr 02, 2013 8:05 am

It was said that this ship was so sucessfull that Stavros Livanos wanted another five ,but because the yard was to busy to build them, he refused to buy the plans for £20,000. So he took the ship out of service and had the Japanese physicaly measure her up and were built by Nagoya Zosen KK (ATLANTIC GENERAL,GLADIATOR,GLORY,GOVERNOR and GRACE)

Tony,

Presume you are referring to the 1954-built vessel detailed at: http://www.teesbuiltships.co.uk/gray/at ... ss1954.htm?
