"Speed recorded (Max / Average): 5.3 / 5.2 knots"

That surely can't be right? Or can it??

The FURNESS MELBOURNE at Irvine's Quay in November, 2009.

According to another 'maritime' site the speed recorded is (Max/Average): 7.1/6 knots. It's obviously been changed since.

I think I'm getting the sense of this now. Those speeds are presumably for her latest voyage from the Thames to Hartlepool which took her 54 hours. Obviously, she was in no rush. She will, however, have a potential service speed of 13/14 knots, which is what I first thought was the speed referred to.
