Stan,

Always a nice looking coaster!
She is Canada flag now as LONG ISLAND since renamed such in December 2010, but previously had a number of different flags as OOSTZEE. From Equasis these were St Vincent and Grenadines from November 2009, Latvia from October 2005, and previously Netherlands January 2004. That suggests she had a different flag before that dating from before May 2000 when Equasis started.
She had been OOSTZEE since 1995, and started life as the ALMENUM in 1978.

Can you recall when you saw her, Stan?

Ron

This photograph of her leaving Hartlepool was March 22nd, 2010.

I did read, after posting it, she had changed her name but there was no confirmation, on the site I looked at, of what it was.

OOSTZEE passing the Heugh Pier here - also known as the New Pier in Hartlepool.

I have seen on another site she was Almenum until January 1992, Almenum until March 1992 (two dates and confusing) Zwartewater until August 1995 and Oostzee until December 2010. I understand she is now called Long Island.

On 26 May 2003 the OOSTZEE was coming down from Antwerp and nearly caught us out when she turned sharply towards Terneuzen heading into the Gent Canal!
