Sail Traing Vessel

Postby Hornbeam » Thu Jun 29, 2023 4:19 pm

I see the Indonesian Brig “ Bima Suci” is presently at Den Helder, a fine looking Sail Training Ship coming to Hartlepool for the big event ? She carries 200 Crew along with a Barbers Shop with singing quartet possibly? and a Weapons Locker, what happened to 50 lashes for a possible Mutinous Crew.
Second largest STS in the World as I understand it, will be quite a sight under full sail, I remember passing the American “Eagle” under full sail in the English Channel in the late 1950’s very spectacular.

Here she is lit up like a Christmas Tree, coming to a Port near you, possibly. 150 of the Crew are Electricians

Well done Stan on the info, it looks like judging by the information sheet that the featured vessel is on her way to Hartlepool after sampling the delights  of Holland, now for the delights of Hartlepool.
Hopefully the weather is ok.

Well she’s in Hartlepool and the Crew look very smart, the Barber has done well, must advise that sunglasses should be worn as it would appear that they also carry a Dentist  :o
A warm North East Welcome to all Crews and hopefully the rain keeps off.

Certainly in my view awarded the best presented Vessel and Crew in the show their synchronised arm waving when arriving and leaving not only from the Deck bur also Aloft was a joy to behold.
Smooth sailing to all the Crews.
