...I missed her when she left Irvine's Quay but managed to get this as she passed the Heugh Pier - sadly I didn't have the right camera with me!

Whatever you used HM it's still not a bad picture bearing in mind you are in Hartlepool and the now dead (as a parrot) "Infant Hercules" at South Bank (Middlesbrough) can be clearly seen in the background , a reminder of sailing up the Coast at night when they dropped the "Witches Hat" you could see the Tees for miles when the glow lit up the night sky like an Incendiary Flare.

Thank you for the nice comment, Hornbeam. Yes, just a shame the Tees area, around South Bank, is not lit like it used to be. Anyway, here's a close-up shot of MTS VIKING as she arrived in port at the stern of HAVEN SEARISER 2.

HM, best keep that photograph looking across towards South Bank as the skyline is about to change forever, the Mayor has spoken hopefully all his plans come to fruition and there is no funny business unlike the T.D.C. ;)

Hornbeam - I have lots of photographs showing that particular skyline over the Tees Bay to Redcar and South Bank. It'll be sad not to see it like that.
