PALFINGER FRSQ1000.jpg
When I was on the fish quay yesterday taking a photograph of ‘FEDERAL SWIFT” I noticed this small craft hurtling towards the Ro-Ro Quay near the Deep Water Berth. Thanks to Derek Hinds I have managed to find out a little more about the vessel called “PALFINGER” which is registered in Aberdeen. She’s classed as a boat type FRSQ 1000 A FRDC and is a daughtercraft/workboat with an aluminium hull. Built, originally as I understand, in the Netherlands.

An update on PALFINGER: I am informed by Derek Hinds, via Nathan Hobday, that she is the fast Craft from the offshore vessel BISCAY SENTINEL which was in the Tees Bay just before New Year. At present it is working at the site in the North Sea opposite to Scarborough. The BISCAY SENTINEL looks to be a tug/supply type vessel with an orange/yellow hull.
