KENILWORTH, registered at Greenock in Scotland, in Hartlepool Marina.

She was a historic passenger ferry built in 1936 as MV Hotspur II. I understand she was used on the Hythe Ferry service across Southampton Water until 1978 and then on the Kilcreggan ferry on the Firth of Clyde until 2007. As you can see she is now up for sale.

Anyone know why she came into the Tees? She appears to have had one passenger on deck.

I asked: Anyone know why she came into the Tees?

Apparently, she went up onto the Aveco slipway, so presumably for inspection or bottom-painting, etc.
