HMS PICKLE

HMS PICKLE berthed in Hartlepool Marina.

She is a replica of a topsail schooner of the Royal Navy which was at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. We’re told that she was too small to be involved in the battle itself. The ship first brought news of Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar back to Great Britain in 1805.

Mal got into a little bother calling her HMS, so it is now officially HM Schooner Pickle - his company is also called H.M.S - Historic Motor and Sail and covers Pickle, Spider T and his collection of cars and bikes.

She was followed the next day by Spider T, both have a new home at Grimsby due to costs at Hull. There is to be a new visitor attraction for Historic Motor and Sail provided.
