: H.M.Yacht BRITANNIA sailing into Hartlepool. On 18th May 1993 when the Queen & the Duke of Edinburgh arrived to open the Marina and Maritime Heritage Centre.

Former Tees & Hartlepool pilot, Bert Spaldin, had the honour of bringing her into port on that day.

I thought it as 'Billy' Wray who was the Pilot aboard Britannia....

As mentioned, the information I received came form Derek Hinds. He tells me the details were in a book published by Bert Spaldin.
