GLOBE (5132286), J. Beck, Netherlands, 367gt,
completed Foxhol 10-1948
BU Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht 9.69 [F.Rijsdijk]

A fascinating view of Central Dock, Hartlepool, taken by Albert Weller:
GLOBE-BENLEDIxaw.jpg
This is dated to 1961 (maybe very early 1962) because of the other ships in view. Can't put a name to the North Thames Gas Board collier to the right (showing no. 9 on her bridge) but looks to be one of their 1940s built ships. For instance, on 8 January 1962 the WINSOR and FLAMMA were both there (the WINSOR listed among my sightings of the reserve fleet that day). Behind the GLOBE is the BENLEDI (1945) and I think the ship to the left is the Westfal-Larsen MALMANGER, also there in January 1962 for conversion.

Looks like one of the 3 by Burntisland in 1942/43 as they had this bridge front and thinner funnel than those from Austin.
FIRELIGHT matches and I presume FLAMMA / WINSOR were the same ... so if the last one was in the dock, seems a good choice, they would normally have been seen only on the staiths in the tidal harbour.
