Good news for Hartlepool

Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), a contracting group specialising in engineering and fabrication, is to create 350 jobs in the North East to assist in the build of four gas platforms for the Cygnus gas field project in the southern North Sea.

The deal means about 10,500 tons of fabrication work will be done in Hartlepool and will ensure work in the yard until 2015.
