After life as a forest products carrier she was converted to a scrap recovery vessel and was renamed Baltic managed by Harrisons Clyde where she worked from Hartlepool for short period before the project was abandoned.
Dont know what happened to the ship

The FINNROSE seen by Peter in July 1973 had the following history:
RIMJA DAN (5295179), completed Vegesack 3-1960
LD as KOLJA DAN - 1960 RIMJA DAN - 68 LOVISA - 71 FINNROSE - 74 CARMENCITA - 79 GELINDA
foundered 39.12N/4.42E 25.4.83

Dave, so far as the BALTIC is concerned, clearly this was a different ship. I wonder if you are thinking of the BALTICO which was based around the Tees and Hartlepool area for several years in the early 1980s? Her history was:
BALTIC (5035024), Finska Angfartygs Ab, Finland, 2260gt, completed Turku 11-1960
[1968 Lg 101.3/92.1m, 2654gt/3597dw, cable recovery ship] - 81 BALTICO
BU Puerto de Santa Maria 27.1.87 [Desguaces La Arena] - work began 4.2.87
As BALTICO her owners were initially recorded as Dolphin Cable Co Ltd but very soon changed to Seaway International Cable Co Ltd.

Hi Ron, yes you are right , apologies for any confusion. I remember that they had lots of problems with equipment on deck
she was always in for repair at Union Dock Hartlepool.
I am sure we were dealing with Harrisons Clyde as Managers.
