Our visit to Seaham !

Postby Tynesider » Sat Aug 17, 2013 8:34 pm

On the way back from Hartlepool we called in and stayed at Seaham Marina, and recieved a warm welcome.

We visited the new lifeboat museum,Asda, tested the pub and fish and chips up the road and had breakfast in the marina new cafe.

The only downside was try sleeping to the noise of over a couple of hundred seagulls and another few hundered Terns 'I think'.

But we will be back ! :)

Glad we did not leave in the dark, what a place to have an old mooring post!

We had a run out to Seaham Harbour this afternoon (by road) and took a few photographs of fishing boats and a ship in the docks. Quite an experience as I haven't been since I was a kid. We, too, walked around Asda but I prefer the store in Hartlepool. We enjoyed a coffee in the Marina.
