Joseph Carney's CARNSIDE steaming in past the Hetton Staithes on the south bank of the Wear. She was built as the G for the LMS Railway at Garston by Henry Robb in 1927. The Garston hoppers seemed to finish in 1950 and she was renamed CARNSIDE in 1964. I wonder where she was in between?

Ah those Garston hoppers, all the way from A to H, such romantic names!
This one stayed with the LMS successors, 1948 BTC, 1963 BTDB then 1964 to Carney.
Whether she was still in Garston, or redeployed elsewhere, I know not.
Broken up by Clayton & Davie, Dunston in 1973.
